Turn down the volume on kids’ headphone use

It’s Safe Listening Week and we’re turning down the volume on kids’ headphone use!

Did you know? Nearly 50% of teens and young adults are exposed to unsafe sound levels from personal devices!

Here’s why we should care:

  • Hearing damage adds up over time
  • It can affect language, education, and social development
  • Headphone use is a “hidden problem” for parents

Keep your kids’ ears safe:
1️⃣ Monitor headphone volume – full blast can be as loud as a rock concert!
2️⃣ Follow screen time limits (bonus: protects hearing too!)
3️⃣ Be extra cautious with gaming headphones
4️⃣ The louder the background, the higher they’ll turn it up

Protect our children’s hearing for a lifetime of joyful listening!

Hearing loss from loud noises is on the rise, and young people are particularly at risk. Communities in farming and agricultural regions are especially vulnerable, making it crucial to act now to avoid lifelong problems that can impact well-being and future opportunities.
